1.  Wireless at IIE
   1.  Facility：Currently, the wireless is supported by three ASUS WL-520GC Wireless AP. The system provides a high speed data transfer of 54Mb/sec, compatibility with 802.11b and cross-platform enhanced security.
   2. Location：

      Location	SSID
      Conference room (room 101)	NTU-IIE-Room101
      IIE Department office (room 118)	NTU-IIE-Office
      Computer Lab (room 235)	NTU-IIE-Room235

   3. Who is it for：Current faculty, staff, and students at IIE.
   4. Assigning IP：Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
   5. Area of coverage：1. Conference room (room 101)
      2. Study room (room 103)
      3. Common room (room 107) and Student Council Office
      4. IIE Department office (room 118)
      5. Student Office No. 1 (room 232)
      6. Classroom (room 233)
      7. Student Office No. 2 (room 234)
      8. Computer lab (room 235)
   6. setting for Windows XP：

Network Setting
「Start」→「Control Panel」→「Network」→「Wireless」。
 
 

「「Wireless Network」window
「General」→「Properties」

In「Wireless Properties」window,
Under “general, “select「Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)」and click on “property”

 

Choose “Obtain an IP address automatically”and “Obtain an DNS address automatically”

Return to the “Wireless” window and click on “View Wireless Network”

 

Click on “refresh”the wireless network
1.Select「NTU-IIE-Room101、NTU-IIE-Office、NTU-IIE-Room235」
2. Double click to select this network

 

Enter the key obtain from the IIE office

It should that you are connected.
